New Body of Judicial Officers in Côte d’Ivoire
One of the key objectives of this new judicial body is to simplify judicial procedures and to reduce or eliminate jurisdictional conflicts between bailiffs and auctioneers, according to Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné.
The Ivorian government announced on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, the creation of a new body of Judicial Officers that will bring together bailiffs and auctioneers.
Explaining this bill at the end of the weekly Council of Ministers, the Ivorian Minister of Communication, Digital Economy, and Post, Bruno Nabagné Koné, who also serves as the government spokesperson, stated that the reform aligns with international standards, particularly those established within UEMOA (West African Economic and Monetary Union).
Among its roles, this body will have exclusive authority over the auction of State property, property of its entities, and property seized on behalf of or at the request of the State.
